Any 3D fans?
I tried to do a "3d" search but was to little info and couldn't be done...anyway, I know of one locally for sale thats seems like a deal as it has hardly any hours on it...are these sought after or are they dead, and nobody wants them? its a minty 05 for 2500....just curious....are they any fun riding?...neither seat looks that comfy

Personally, I think they are pretty cool.
Would I have one? Absolutely.
Could I ride it? No (2 smokes are banned where I ride)
Would love to find a way to (sufficiently) re-power one w/ a 4-stroke.

Hiya, I've just restored a 2005 3D that had broken engine mounts and dead shafts - after the rebuild we plugged it in and turns out it's only got 35 hours on it.
It clocks 86kph on the GPS and is awesome fun - either you like them or you don't but be warned if you get one everybody will want a go on it
The kart position is my fave, 360s, drifts, spin-outs, etc, are all easy peasey but you get very wet in doing them, lol
Here's a couple of piccies and video of mine taken on Friday last.

Always loved the look of the 3D. Never rode one, but would love to.
Cool photos and videos.

The red ones are quicker and more powerful but the Di engine is not the most reliable (the earlier carbed 951cc engines like the one in my XPL are better but weren't offered with the 3D). The 787cc is more than powerful enough IMHO, I clocked 86kph in mine on the flat and has better fuel consumption. These skis are all about "fun", doughnuts, 360s, spin-outs, jumps and generally Tom Foolery, speed is not what they're for, however in the kart position they will out-handle most other jets around the buoys with the exception of the XPL which has the same hull
Either model is going to be a bucket of fun - enjoy

i want one... bad. few for sale local but i will end up waiting til next summer to snag one. if you do get one make sure if has the kart seat. if it doesn't you will be looking for a long time to find just the seat.

Not sure about the US but in Europe the "3D Premium" model came with the bike seat (stored under the "arm") and the kart seat - the kart seats are indeed hard to find but the footrests that came with them are even harder and these really help to push back into the seat to keep you in place - check that they are there as well (they're removable and only clip in place).
