    6200 rpm & 45 mph

Bought a 2011 rxt 260. New fizzle cooler installed, and new ngk plugs. Took it for a test drive today and only got to 6200 rpm and 45 mph. 41 hrs on the ski so I wasn't expecting that the supercharger is slipping or bad bearings?

Check the oil level. Should be MIDWAY between the two marks. Run engine for 30 seconds, stop, wait 30 seconds and check oil.

Too much oil will hold the rpm back.

Could also be charged air leak somewhere between SC output, IN/OUT of IC or into throttle body.

Maybe a hose coming loose, a clamp off or a hose split.

    Worth checking.

Sounds like a boost leak...check all hose connections especially since you just replaced the intercooler.

    That's not good!

It absolutely not go past the top bend and much better to stick bang in the middle. Just above the middle I used to have rpm issues on my old GTX 4Tec.

Make sure ski is level (best to test on the water so you can run it warm and ensure 100% level). If you must test off the water then use a spirit level on the rub rail to get the ski straight on the trailer. Remember to run engine for 30 seconds etc etc. Best get it on the water to be the most accurate.

If it is over filled, you must get that oil out. It's not good for the engine at all. Use an oil pump through the dipstick hole. It's very little volume of oil between bottom and top marks, so take it easy.

before anything I would check to make sure you didn't put the ski into ECO mode..

6200 ish rpms and 42-46 mph is about max in eco mode..
ski will never accelerate past those rpms or speed with eco mode engaged

also double check your hoses.. make sure nothing is kinked or loose..

oil level should be between the 2 bends.. preferably dead middle..

I ended up checking the hose clamp on the intercooler outlet.it was loose and slipped off. So that was the cause

Bringing back this thread. I havent driven my ski since I last posted. Went out on it today and would only give a short burst of boost then lag. Is the supercharger slipping already at 42 hrs? Old gas?
