Going to make an on the water pwc trailer. Question?

I plan on making an on the water pwc trailer out of the bottom hulls of two identical scrap skis bonded together. Should look very similar to a cargowave when done when some custom touches, stereo etc...

My question is, if I am cutting up the hulls do I need skis to have titles? I am new to this and don't know if the trailer would need to be registers like the pwc does. I assuming not since it doesn't have a engine....

The skis I am looking at come from a good dealer so no chance of them being hot, just a better price for both without a title.

    This would be in Florida.

    thanks in advance,
    Ray

Is a towed floating thing such as a empty converted hull simply called a small barge?

Any non powered vessel less than 16ft doesn't have to be registered in Florida...Or you can call it your life boat, those don't have to be registered either

This. So long as it has no propulsion you shouldn't have to register it. Just remove all signs of any hull ID#s and you shouldn't have to title it either.
