    Removing welded galvanized fender brackets?

So my trailer is on larger tires than OEM. An the brackets for the fenders don't work with the tires. I bought it like this. The guy gave me the fenders when I picked up the trailer, but he didn't tell me he didn't have them on because the didn't fit. I'm looking at two options for fenders.

    This one from Northentool.com

It's the cheapest and could look really good.

Or just buy a galvanized fender and get the L brackets to mount it. But for galvanized fenders and L brackets and hardware it getting over $65

The question is how should I take care of removing the old brackets. There welded on. I planed on using a cutting wheel and cut them off. Then grind it down to be smooth. I know I would be stripping the galvanized layer off. I've seen the Cold Spray Galvanize paint. Just wondering if any one here has tips or other suggestions.
Here's a pic of the brackets.

Why not just go back to the right size tires?

The wheels and tires that are on it are new. And buying the original 8 inch rims and tires would cost about 75 bucks. Also the fenders are in bad condition. Plus I cut on them some trying to get them to work. Now the left one is kinda useless.

You could cut them off then. Either a sawzall or a cut off type tool would do the trick. Make sure to paint the exposed metal. Then bolt on new brackets and fenders.

Im going to try the fenders from northern tool. The bolt on to the frame. I think they would look good and its the cheapest. The web doesn't give a lot of dimensions so I'll test fit them. And I can return them. If they don't fit then I'll just get galvanized fenders and brackets tht I can mount any way I please.
