From Kawasaki 250x to VXS
I had a Kawasaki 250x that i changed to -12 VXS. it's still damn cold here in Finland (air 50f and water 42f)
but i had to go and try it out. I was amazed how much power and speed it has for an n/a ski.
First time out and it was faster than my old 250x.
and it's also so nimble compared to Kawasaki. I'm liking my new Yamaha a lot =)

Congrats on the new ski!!
Great choice. Fast and nimble along with the 1.8L reliability.

Thanks!! the water was almost perfect, just little waves that slowed the ski a bit but still ran 66mph on gps

You may want to consider a VXR seat at some point. I found the VXS seat to be somewhat slippery when water got onto it. The VXR seat will give you a more "planted" feel on the Ski.
It's a little Ski with a BIG heart . . . it is a good Ski. JB

Not for this summer, mayby next year. I think that whit low fuel and optimal conditions i can get more speed.
there is 70.2mph in the top speed memory of the integrated Garmin gps. i'm not sure if i'm getting that speed
out of the ski but i will try. ski has 70 hours.
I had some issues whit my old Kawasaki so i want the ski to be as reliable as possible.

I'm more hoping to get the extra mph out of our raceboat before the season begins. =) and just enjoy whit the vxs.
of course i will be racing against my friends RXT-X 260 but that's just for fun.
(just kidding, of course i want to beat the sea doos if possible
I think in calm water it will be close?
