It would run just fine, probably better than the stock DI motor. Do you have the stock MSX exhaust system to bolt onto the motor?

It will be an easy install. Shouldnt make a difference how it runs. If the Pro 1200 exhaust system fits in the MSX you could use that too. You may have to fatten up the jetting on the carbs a bit because of the heavier hull putting more load on the engine.

i believe there's a port miss match between the msx exhaust port and the standard exhaust port.i think keddano ran a pro1200 waterbox and red pipe setup in his, gonna have to find a fuel sender to work with the msx tank as well

yes you right the fuel pickup would need to be changed, don't know how easy it would be to find one in the uk...
could the msx wireing be used,or change the loom as well?
can the ngi be made to work still? thanks guys.

You can pull the guts out of the stock fuel pump and add a pickup line to the bottom of the bucket in the pump body. The display will work just fine. The wire harness from a Virage is what was commonly used in the Matrix conversions.

The Polaris Freedom model used two fuel tank versions. One of those (documented elsewhere on here) used the same fuel tank as the fuel injected Virage and has a carburetor type fuel pickup that fits right into the 'fuel injected' fuel tank.

One of the things the NGI display does not have is no security code starter lockout (which the stock Virage wiring harness expects from the stock MFI display). Easily rewired to bypass the security feature, just something to bear in mind.

The MSX 140 Ficht wiring harness is completely different from the carburetor Virage wiring harness. A carburetor Genesis wire harness could also be adapted.

With some re-work almost any of the red engine 1200 watercraft wire harnesses could be adapted.

My wire harness in my Matrix project was not complete when I got it, and I have no idea what it started its life as. It took a lot of careful thought and planning to get it all correct and working properly. I had to add wires in some places and subtract in others, all while mating it to the electrical box. I also was careful not to bastardize it too much so someone else with Polaris knowledge could work on it and trace everything.
