Advice/ tips wanted: 2004 RXP Rebuild

Hello, I ve baught a 04 RXP from a friend, sitting dismantled for 6 years.
I have dismantled engine for replacing valves.
Major parts I have to buy:
    - new compressor (old one missing)
    - valve set, gasket set, bolt set
    - front hood and gas shock assy (both upper and lower)
    - LH sponson and cover
    - drive shaft bearing
    - instrument panel (if not repairable)
    - front engine mount
    - steering cable
    - starter relay
    - many other small parts

If anyone have som information or advise aboat what parts to use, and if there is something more, especially with the engine that I should change/ upgrade when Im working on it. example, should I change oil restrictor for oil to top?

Another thing I wonder is, what the differneces between the 215 and the 260 HP engines, Could i upgrade it to 260 HP?

Great forum and a lot of information

    Best Regards
    Ove

215 and 260 are almost the same motor
the injectors and ecu are the biggest change
valves are upgraded and better flywheel bolts
    and external intercooler

What valves is recomended to put in a 2004 4tec ? I will change the valves because they could break (nr. 72 prefix)
Someone know if i should change oil jet/ restrictor? when I have these clear, i could put valves in, mount head and put engine back in ski..

I could see in coolant areas around the sylinders, in the head and in the water pump, there is a lot of salt deposits, could ride plate be defektive causing salt water to enter the coolant ? (only salt water used) The ski has been drowned once, but used alot after that.

Engine internal parts in contact with oil looks great. Ex. manifold looks ok. havent dismantled oil cooler, but have never been traces of water in oil, so I assume its ok. Have dismantled PTO cover, oil pump cover and flywheel. Small scratches in oil pump cover (pump in pto side) Havent dismantled other side pump. pics to come..

I am almost done on my rebuild of same ski, I would just rebuild the whole motor, replace those oil pumps and plates they are pretty bad also that throttle body looks really bad, check oil cooler as is is feed by the atifreeze that had salt in it, probobly want to rebuild that water pump with all new seals and suchcheck your temp sensors for corrosion, I would check that ride plate out probobly leaking salt water into coolant.
