SVHO stock intercooler on an SHO results

I installed an svho intercooler on my brothers 2013 Fzs SHO equipped with vtech stg 3 reflash, cheap intake, ribbon delete, RD grate w/ ppk and free flow exhaust. Everything else stock including the ride plate. It was GPSed at 71.2mph first run then installed the SVHO intercooler and took it out again for testing and it GPSed 72.7mph. That's a 1.5mph gain! Not bad for a direct bolt on part.. Both tests done in neutral trim in regular seated position.

New best of 73.4mph with same mods.

    Jason,

Were you able to go back and forth a few times with it? If so, did you notice on the next runs if there was significant heat soak?

Back to back runs it lost .4mph 72.3mph which is impressive.

SVHO stock intercooler on an SHO results

I'm thinking it needs to get some more water. I'm going to try installing the 2014 splitter to see if it makes a difference.

Great upgrade for someone not wanting to drill their hull and looking for a good OEM replacement while keeping factory warranty valid where ever they take it.

I have a 2010 FX SHO I wonder if it would be a direct replacement for that also. I have similar mods to the OP.
