    Strange Unlock & No Start Issue.

    Having a strange electrical, no start issue.

    Ski will not start in "unlock mode". No audible beeps at all, or any other electrical output - gauges etc. If ski is put into "locked" mode, it then becomes completely DEAD. Will not unlock, beeps, or anything - until battery unhooked & reconnected. Ski will turn over fine & fast when unlocked, but not begin to start at all. (No spark or sputters)

    The other variables are a new Odyssey battery (Full of juice), and ski has also not been run since getting Reflashed. All fuses look good as well. So now I'm stumped!!

    wayne are you sure the ecu connectors are all the way in?

    I have unlock and lock problems when the ski is in my garage. It acts very weird. I'm pretty sure it's interference from the garage door opener. If I put it in the street, it's fine. Not sure this helps, just fyi.

    Had something similar once when I took the ski to a dealer for a service, they are also a motorcycle dealership. Turned out it was a particular bike with a rouge security system, they had to disconnect the battery on it to get on with everything else.

    Hmm... so you're saying this was not a problem before the reflash?

    Sooo not pointing fingers, just trying to give all pertinent info to help with the diagnosis & fix. Won't have time until tonight to check things out. But will check the ECU connections first & then pull it out in the driveway to test - Since it's also parked smack dab under the new GD opener.

    If everything else failes try a differant ECM first, it might be something did not go correctly when the reflash was preformed. Also be sure you did not hook the battery up backwards as some of these batterys are hard to see the terminal + & - markings while in the ski , Just a thought. Tommy Jordan

    That was going to be my next course of action, to eliminate or confirm the ECU a variable. Will try the basic stuff tonight. And if it's still not happening, then it will be a good excuse to finally make the trip over to see Jim & git r done right.. And the battery was definitely not cross wired, I always do a triple check with the +/- connections. Actually had to watch the guy installing the 2 Optimas in my truck last week, as he was just about to hook one of them up back asswards.

    Wow I hope a 750 R&D reflash is not the problem......would think as much as they charge they would assure there product works before sending it to there customer

    i have two launch ramps were i live . the one i use is fine but if i use the 2nd one its near a bingo hall and my ski remote wont work i need to drive a few streets away to unlock the ski think its something to do with the wifi boards they use . my mates yamaha also has same problem at the same ramp
