Who is running ET 15.5 on stock shaft?

Would a 15.5 ET wheel require a shaft change? And if so are we doing anything with the thrust bearing and brush bearings? At what point are cast pistons in trouble?

I wouldn't even take the chance knowing how shitty the stock shaft is. You would be risking throwing away $600+... Get the added security of the shaft. You can always sell it after to get some money back.

I have run an ET low boost on the stock shaft for 200 hours now
But as you go up in boost it puts more strain on everything
    So I wouldn't risk it

It was strongly recommended to change it when I did mine. I went with the R&D shaft w/ et bearings.

seen anything over 11psi kill a stock shaft.it isnt worth munching your wheel and housing over then shooting particles into your motor.R&D shaft + RIVA one piece bearing is my preference.

Ran my 15.5. for over a year with good rough water use, on a stock shaft and bearings and never had a issue.
And im not the only one doing it, as far as i know..

Next question is how much will the cast pistons and wrist pins take before failure will happen
