New best MPH on 2012 RXTX! What's next?
Last season I installed a few mods on my buddy's 2012 RXTX (CAI, Vtech tuner, and a Solas 15/20R prop). While we were pleased with the performance (73 mph GPS) I knew there was still some on the table since the rpm's were not ideal. He was only hitting around 7900 IIRC... Anyway, the lake was full of trash last year so a lot of stuff got sucked through the pump. We just put a new wear ring in this weekend and I suggested he put the stock prop back on since his rpm's were not where they needed to be. Voila! Hit the lake yesterday and was pleasantly rewarded with 75.4 MPH GPS! This was at 8340 rpm's.
- Will repitching the Solas 15/20R (Speedfreeks) work better than his stock prop since the rpm's are now where they need to be?
- What is the next logical mod? (acceleration and/or top speed being most important)

Upgrade your valve springs and retainers, your on the ragged edge at that rpm. Then you can do many other mods, rev higher, and go faster.

Upgrade the intercooler.
