    Fx svho speed limiter

Dose the fx have the same speed limiter as the fz series?
And could the bypass be fitted to a fx with the same results

There is no speed limiter on FX-SVHO!!!!!!

    I'm running a consistent 71mph at 7700 RPMS.

    Hope this helps, Julio...

Interesting point Julio, I've been wondering about that. I'm getting 7500rpm (indicated, stock tach) and 109 km/hr (68 mph, gps) at 3000' AMSL on fresh water. Does the stock tach over-read by 200rpm? I thought theses ski's would pull back to 7300 rpm after holeshot...

On the day in question there would have been a 9.5% power drop compared to a Standard Atmosphere at sea level, so hopefully a couple of hundred extra rpm's is not out of the question. It certainly was the case on the other two ski's...

Look at your rpm gauge. You can see the rpm drop after 5 or so sec of wot

    Again, NOT on the FX-SVHO.

I I'm actually hitting the limiter since I installed the Riva Power Filter Kit!!!

Yamaha didn't think the fx hull would need a speed limiter since it does 70 mph bone stock at 7500 RPMS. Do a couple of mods and you will see the tach at a constant 7700 RPMS.

Again this only applies to the FX-SVZHO, Julio...

The Fxsvho that I rode definitely felt like it hit the limiter
It also only had a top speed of 66 mph
And it in no way felt slow
It felt like it had the same power as my 80+ low boost Motec ski
It just stopped way too early

Mine does not drop any rpm from the initial at hole shot, even after 30-40 secs of WOT. Didn't know if this was due to not getting enough rpm at altitude, but now Julio has me hopeful for my first trip down to sea level being a real blast!
