R12 vs R12x worth the difference in price?

I am currently in the market about to purchase my first pwc. I have found an r12x with 36 hours and a trailer for 4,900. I have also found the r12 non turbo'd version with 16 hours for 3750 with a trailer. Is the 1150 dollars justifiable when it comes to performance. As someone who likes to go fast will I get bored with the non turbo'd version? I don't want to spend this kind of money to ride only to find out I cant keep up with any of my friends..Thanks

There is NOTHING like a forced induction ski!! At least with the r12x you can do some mods.

Both are 2005's. My friends ride a gp1200r, an ultra 300x, and a couple of seadoo rxp's. As of this point I am going to try and pickup the rx12 for 4700.

If the R12x is in great condition, like the turbo and wastegate is rust free. Go for it. You will keep up with your friends but the 300x will be leading in the rough but you will stay with the rest of your friends for sure. Have fun

You should be able to beat the GP1200 if y'all were to race. The others will pull you hard out of the hole, but cruising around and having fun should be no problem. Over 500 hours on my 06 R12X and it runs great.
I would be slightly concerned with such low hours on those 05 models.

dont be with those hours, your good, just make sure the oils changed, never seen a issue with a low our Honda thats been well taken care of.Most all honda sat in a crate for years befor being put to good use. both out of the hole you will be down, but on plain, you will smoke the gp1200r the Ultra you will be able to keep up, you have a fun fast reliable ski, have fun.

Yeah he's had it serviced every year. I am bringing a buddy who is a marine mechanic to make sure everything operates as it should.
