    Cavitation till take off

    I m facing the following problem.after a new impeller new pump seal and riva ss ring if I hit the throtle to the limit it speens at 5000rpm without taking off and cavitating.if I hit the throtle slowly it starts getting in plane and everything it's ok.any ideas?

    Is this for a 2002 gtx ?

    Been there, but on an RXP SC... turned out to be air coming past the carbon ring causing my trouble. Poor motor/pump shoe alignment from the factory caused the carbon ring to wear badly, at takeoff it would cavitate pretty bad.
