Looking at used ski with 32 hours. How is that 1,199 cc engine? Engine looks new and guy says no problem on a test ride. Considering this or similar year 15F. Any thoughts?
Looking for something for the kid to ride that doesn't drink too much fuel.

Plenty of power for a kid & good on fuel, only issue is if the ECU has been upgraded to keep the engine from blowing apart.

I have a 2007 and it is a great ski.
Run it on premium and less chance of an issue as mentioned above.
I have 200 hours on mine. 80% ocean riding and rough stuff too.
Change oil, service pump (inspect/grease) every 50 hours, lube cables, etc.
At WOT you will get 65 miles on 16.5 tank.
At 35-40 mph it will go 100+.
I'd get a 15F if you can find a good one, but the 12 is a good little ski.
Handles rough water good, predictable and steady. Tows good. Storage is good. Glove box too small only complaint.
Hull and top deck are tough.
The 2 seat set-up on 2007 is better than 1 big heavy seat.

I'm going to hold out for a 15. Used or possibly new. Can get new for under 8k plus tax/license.
Thanks for the info.
