    VF3 and OEM flame arester

    Guys,Girls,
Can you install the VF3, EFI and riva heads and use the OEM flame arrester.
I use my ski in the ocean and often get a lot of water in the hull.
I have damaged 1 motor from having sea water get through the motor I do not wish to repeat the process as I now have 05 GP with no motor and a new 07 GP.

    Thanks.

I would think you would be ok with the stock air system. I would remove the air box though and take out the metal flame arrestors inside. That should allow for more air and still keep it safe.

I would remove the airbox lid and take out the metal flame arrestors inside, (then put the airbox lid back on) if water intrusion is a big concern.

I run without the airbox lid on my ski but I dont get water in the hull to speak of (maybe a few onces here and there).
