Worth a look. Email and ask for hours, engine bay pictures, and service logs if he has.

Not too far. I know people who have gone a lot further to buy a ski.

Yeah Stunna that ski was on my radar until I found out it had 90 hours. Definitely willing to travel far for the right ski. I was considering even shipping one here if need be.

90 hours on an 09 is nothing! Figure the break down to be 18 hours a season. Thats right where you want it. This isn't a sea-poo that needs to be rebuilt every 100 hours. I know a bunch of guys have over 200+ hours on these ski's with no issues (http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=189782)

My ski is a 2012 and I have 150 hours on it already lol. See if you can get him down to $7900 or $8000. Seems like you'd be able to water test it too. This year might need the updated sc clutch but I'm not sure on that. Maybe someone more familiar with fzr/fzs can chime in. If it does you can use that as a bargaining chip.

Yeah I realize that its low hah, but I see skis around the country with 20-40 hours for similar prices which makes me second guess it. Another factor is that if I decide to sell and uprgrade later on, what will be my chances of recouping with an hour count around 125-150.

I'd rather pay a little more for a ski I can see in person and water test than roll the dice on an out of state ski that has to be shipped. Shipping isn't cheap either. Its hard to say what resale will be but it seems they will always be worth something in parts as long as everything is in decent working order. Even flooded skis will sell for $2000 in parts. I'd look for one that has average hours for its age. A lot of guys will tell you the same. More damage is done by under use than over use with these things.

To give you an idea, I bought my 09 FZR with 9 hours, trailer, warranty and Riva Stage 1 mods for 10K in 2012, but had to travel to Pittsburg from CT. They are out there and pop up every so often, just be ready to travel but its worth it. I paid a bit of a premium due to the low hours and the YES warranty still in effect for another year.
