    MSX driveshaft carrier bearing material?

    Hi all,does anyone know if the bearing (6205) in the carrier housing is stainless or not?

    If you are asking about the stock non-MSX through-hull driveshaft seal carrier, the two bushings inside are Teflon impregnated sintered bronze with a thin magnetic steel backing. I do not recall if the backing is actually a form of stainless or not.

    Hi K447, i mean the bearing inbetween the seals,the one that sits in the housing.
    i'm putting back together a basket case msx140,and while the engine is out thought it best to refurb the driveshaft bearing.

    MSX hulls use a different bearing carrier than all other Polaris PWC.

    Rebuild info and generic replacement part numbers are also to be found in the Jet Pump sections.

    found the info on replacement seals and bearing,but no info on if bearing is stainless.
