1999 Yamaha Waverunner bogs down after running for a while
So I have two 1999 Yamaha Waverunner 1200xl's they both run great when I first put them in, they idle well, they get up to top speed quickly.. however after about 15-20 min of riding one ski will start to bog down and lose power while I'm at WOT. I can have the ski at 3/4 throttle and it will only get up to about 25-30 mph. Once this occurs it stays like this for the rest of the day, but the next day all is well for about 15-20 min again.. I have replaced the fuel filter and the catalytic converter has been removed.. it's almost like once the ski heats up something changes. would a carb issue be intermittent like this? any ideas??

If you haven't done the usual maintenance on it you could start by replacing the spark plugs and checking the compression. If those are already done change or clean the fuel filter. also look for exhaust fumes in the engine compartment from a exhaust leak. also make sure the vent on top of the tank is letting air in the fuel tank.
if you cant find any problems with any of the suggestions it may be time for a carb rebuild.
