Vx110 vs gti130 vs ultra lx

I'm buying a new ski all below are 2013 price is including a trailer minus tax it will be used 90/10 mostly waterway and river with a little bit of ocean time. I do like to travel on the water for some distance but speed is far from a primary concern any thoughts on which way I should go?

    2013 vx deluxe $8200
    2013 gti 130 $8200
    2013 ultra lx $8900

The VX will have the most range / economy.
The GTI will feel like it has more low and midrange grunt.
The Ultra best in rough water & massive storage. Good luck !!!

Longterm and overall reliability goes to the VX. Hands down.

    My opinion:

1st: ultra lx (great cruiser, lots of storage space, best ocean riding)
2nd: gti 130 (fun ride, great ergonomics, good storage capacity)

I would not consider the VX against the other skis: small ski, bouncy wet ride

If well maintained, all these skies will serve you well.

Everyone seems to like the reliability of the yamaha but that's all they ever really say about it which leads me to believe the actual ride leaves something to be desired. The biggest down fall for the yamaha to me is the limited storage. Both the kawi and the doo have a pretty fair amount of storage and features for the money. The only thing about the kawi that makes nervous is how big it is it just looks like a beast sitting next to the doo which makes me wonder if really has enough horse power to really get around still and how well it will carve I'm sure the 300 hp version is awesome to ride but the lx looks like a drag racer with a Prius motor

The VX has no noteworthy storage to speak of so if that's one of your main criteria, count it out. Also, the VX is a VERY basic, reliable ski. I parallel it to the base model Honda Civic.

Also just to throw it out there, in that price range, you may find a left over Kawi STX 15F. Solid engine, good hull, & a 60 mph ski.

VX is a good flat water ski, but not so good in the rough ocean. You might want to consider a FX HO for your yammi option.
The ultra is by far the best rough water ski you listed, but it may get boring in the flat water. A kawi STX 15F seems like a good choice. It'll be fun in smooth and is decent in rough water.
I have not ridden a GTI 130 or rode with one, don't have much to say about it.

I can't really add anything that hasn't already been said. But since you like long rides, it looks like you might prefer the one with the most storage: the Ultra.

Other than that, I'm not sure about your criteria. When I first began looking to buy, I looked at the VX also. But I would have needed the VX Deluxe because of the boarding step. I'm old and fat, so that was a necessity. So, if the GTI is still in contention, then the SE model would be the one with the step. I don't know about the Kawasaki's options.
