    STARTER

    Hi Folks,
Have searched this specific (and probably stupid) question on the forum to no avail.

Can anyone advise me if I can remove a starter from a 255 SC without accessing the PTO.
ie: just removing the torx bolts where starter is attached to the block.

    Cheers

Correct, you can remove the starter without messing with the PTO..the 2 bolts, cable and pull her out..it may be in there a bit so you may have to give her a little muscle BUT it will come out...

Yes you can do it. Also makes it easier to remove the starter if you remove the exhaust manifold first.
