2004 waverunner water not coming out of pilot holes

I purchased a used 2004 waverunner xlt 800, I did not have a chance to test ride due to distance. I had a compression test done and the ski was shipped. I received the ski and have done minor maintenance, changed plugs, gas and oil filters. I ran the ski on the trailer with the hose connected to the flushing input and let it run for a few minutes. No water came out of the pilot hole. Will water come out of the pilot hole when it is launched? Should water be coming out now? Is there a spot I should check first for clogs if there is one? Thanks.

On the hose mine only comes out the right side. It's fine running in the water. You should be fine just check it when cruising in the water.
