    Replacement yusa battery?

Tried searching - but not much luck on what is the recommended replacement battery for a VXS/VXR?
Lots of info on doo's but not much on yamaha's.
looking for a sealed replacement battery - and available in Canada.

    Thanks

The owner's manual might mention the battery size spec.

If not, is the battery size not listed on the Yamaha web site?

Do you still have a battery installed? What size/model is it?

    Where in Canada?

+1 for ETX16L, i have one of those and an odyssey one.
If you are going with odyssey model is PC625 and the cheapest i could find in canada at the time was from bruce aircraft.

I use the OEM Yusa batteries as replacements on all my Yamaha skis. There are other options out there, for example the AGM batteries, but they are more expensive. In my expierence, Yusa batteries are good for 4-5 seasons before needing replacement (maybe a little more, but I replace them before they actually go bad).

Standard yusa (cbl16 something or another) - but want a fully sealed replacement.

    thanks guys for the suggestions.

    im in Kincardine ontario Canada.

anyone able to locate the ETx16 model in Canada? If not - I'll go with the odyssey (do you need additional mounting hardware for cables as do they use same style attachments as yusa(didn't look like on pics)). Is it a direct fit - weight looks lighter than stock?

I don't think you could easily locate an etx16 in canada go for odyssey you won't regret it plus two year replacement warranty no need to maintain it store it and forget it until spring

The Deka factory sealed AGM ETX16 is my recommendation.

I prefer the Deka battery posts over the Odyssey, and in recent years the Odyssey reviews seem to be getting less wonderful. Perhaps Odyssey has changed something in their manufacturing...

I have and use only the Deka ETX16 AGM batteries now, too many failures with other stuff.

The Deka is also sold under other brand names. West Marine is one source (closest store is in Midland, it seems) but you should confirm they actually still carry the small PWC sizes.

East-Penn is the manufacturer of Deka brand batteries. They have multiple Canadian offices, including one in Oshawa where I have purchased some. The closest to you would be in London. Check that they have it in stock, then you can pick it up direct from the warehouse.

If you ever get near the US border, AutoZone sells the Deka AGM batteries under their DuraLast brand name.
