06 yamaha fx won't start or crank

I need your expertise guys, I would appreciate if you give a few tips.

history: freshwater ski 120hrs, flush with cooling pink stuff at the end of the season and storage outside in Georgia.
yesterday, I installed the battery (1yr old ) charged up and try to start. It turns over and start for 3 sec then quit. Try to start again, only hear a click in electrical box and shows 12. 5 volts with green lights on gauge.

I then jump the starter relay with plier and it turns but with sparks and so hot, I didn't go further.

    What are my next steps?

    Thanks in advance!
    Brian

Get the battery tested. The voltage could be correct and still the amps be low. It will get hot and spark when jumping the relay. There is a lot of amps going through to get the motor to turn over.

You have a problem with the antitheft, I am having the same issue right now, I'm going to guess the unlock light is not coming on on the dash. First check your remote batteries, if the remote is working and the batteries are good try taking it up to a yamaha dealer and see if they can re-pair the remote.

Battery tested good, there is no remote for this ski when I purchased it. Anything else I should check?

I'm not an expert at these things, but I do understand engines. If it starts up and sounds normal for a second or so with these newer engines you may have some throttle sensor or something that's managed to get itself crudded up. Motors, when it comes to old school, are really simple - all you need is gas, air, pressure and spark to get it to keep turning over. If you have an RPM or throttle position sensor that's whack it could unintentionally kill the engine trying to compensate for something it thinks is going on that isn't.
Could possibly just be water in the gas tank. Water is heavier than gas, so after several years of a few drops getting in it could have built up to the point where it's leaking into the fuel system. Maybe try dumping the gas tank and putting some fresh gas in it?
Again I'm a newb at PWC, but I've seen those types of things make motors act weird. What kind of gas are you using out of curiosity?

I used 87 just yamaha recom. I also put in stabilizer over the winter. The odd thing is if it's a gas problem, then it should crank and won't start. Now I just hear clicks and that's it. Again it will turn if I jump the starter relay.

I called yamaha dealer and the tech suggest to replace solenoid? How do I know for sure it's a solenoid? Don't want to spend $100 and find out it's not that. And how do open the electrical box to replace it? Thanks for all your suggestions.
