I'm not sure what you would want to do to one of these things that hasn't already been done. I'm going to keep my warranty personally. If or when I decide I want a higher top speed I'll just build mine from the ground up. The guys at Yamaha (and probably the other guys too) have obviously been watching this forum.

Well, finally got some time to break in the ski according to the manual which was 5 minutes 2k rpm and 90 minutes vary throttle no more than 5k. After the 90th minute, it "didn't feel" as strong as my 2012 FZR, which must have been built on a Monday morning after a quality pep talk or something, but I grabbed a handful of throttle and WOW! From stop, it accelerated so hard I felt slightly sick and dizzy. Caught me off guard it did. Not one to be outdone, gathered myself the second time and this thing pulls hard. Grabbed the GPS and with 1/4 tank, 290 lb rider and some light chop, it ran a 70.6 mph on 1.7 hours run time. Nice.

I always say I am not going to mod X toy when I buy it.. Not one of them has made it a week before I start ordering parts.

I am afraid to total up the cost for all the parts but I am pretty sure its over $8k and now just need to get them installed. Loving the FZR's power

Think I'm staying stock other than a Jim's plate. Every time I think of go fast, I remember a torn MCL and meniscus in my right knee, wrecked ski and time of work.
