    RIVA intake grate or R&D???

    Hi guys,Has anyone tried the new RIVA intake grate for the RXP-X 260 rs? How it performs regarding the RD one? I had the RD but I took a rope with a metallic hook underneath and broke. I saw a big gain with the RD one so I wanted to know shall I get the same or get the Riva one? Also I noticed that the RIVA has more aggressive blades than the RD so most likely it will perform better in rough water condition but in smooth??? Will it gain mph as the RD or stay the same as the stock one?? I am asking cause I am interested cause I race in drag and I don’t want to loose top speed. Any opinions???

    best would to log both with the vtech datalogger to see acceleration and cavitation.

    We did this with the R n D vs RIVA on the RXT-X

    Results where interessting.

    very suprised to find out that neither riva or r n d uses our logger for testing

    Top DASH speed with R & D was 82 mph and Riva 80 Mph
    (dash not gps!)

    Cavitation on take off - time from gas pedal is full to the ski starts to move
    RIVA = 2,05 sec
    R&D = 1,8 sec

    Conclusion is that Riva cavitates more this can be seen in the logs also with rpm spikes.

    Acceleration
    0-60 mph ( approx)
    R&D = 5,2 sec
    Riva = 5,45 sec

    Handling.
    R & D handles nice, but pulls little bit to the right, we will try to make it more flush and see it it helps.
    But turns nice and feels overall ok.

    Riva, well here comes the strange thing, with the riva intake grate on you can turn the steering a bit and nothing happens..
    With small "steering turns" ski don´t react.

    Maybe its just something to get used to but feels a bit strange when you just had the R&D on.

    Here is a pic comparing the other intakes on the market.
