GTR215 Starboard-Side Hull Port by Battery

My GTR 215 (and therefore assuming all GTR215's) has a hose and port that goes through the hull on the starboard side right by the battery area. It exits the hull on the under-side of the exterior rub rail. What is this for??? I was tracing out the interior tube side tubing and found that it was hooked to nothing... hmmmm?

Its supposed to be hooked to the vent port on the battery.

Had to take a look at mine today after seeing this post. Had never noticed it before until looking under the rub rail. What is it actually venting from the battery?

the port should be right above where the hose/port isin the side of the hull. It will be facing down about 1/2 across the narrow side of the battery closest to the hose inside the hull.

On my stock battery, the hose was plugged on the positive side... It was in the middle of the battery... Now that I have a AGM this hose is removed...

raceneked, you are correct on the stock battery I have, the vent port is on the starboard side of the edge (skinny) of the battery. It's a weird fit (that I haven't accomplished yet) with the battery bracket and battery design being in the way, I'll make it work.
