250X mods and warranty issues
After my break in Period, I am considering installing the pump wedge and a Riva exhaust kit. Will either of these mods void my warranty?

I would say pump wedge is OK, they use it on the LX already, that
is why it's availble.
I would say taking out a water box and going Riva is grounds for
voiding warranty. I think some issues have arisen doing that, check
TeamMotto's site for his take on that mod.
Kawa did that exhaust set up for a reason, probably emmissions,
sound, their calculation of backpressure, etc. If something goes
wrong, water ingested, etc. I would say they are off the hook.
My $.02 for the day!

Put the wedge and the GK rideplate on for now. This will be the cheapest gains we get. These 2 things will improve your ride and help with gas mileage. The GK mod is perfect for rec riding. The problem skip mentions has to do with trying to do 180 degree turns on a bouy course. Different sponsons will fix that soon.

sanding your ride plate or buying some Riva sponsons will not void your warranty !

The Riva exhaust mod will void the warranty. It is also more than likely illegal to do on any ski that is not used solely for racing because it changes with the sound and emission specs. If you never need warranty repair, who's to know...but if you do, you may be up the creek w/o a paddle !

Well the Riva sponsons are now out for this boat as well.
so now you have the wedge, rideplate and the sponsons which should be fine for installs.

None of those mods will affect the warranty. It has yet to be seen, but I don't think the Riva sponsons will add anything to the top end, maybe they will even slow it down, especially if run all the way back and in the lowest position ?? If you are a CC racer they might be a worth while addition. Until someone springs for the big bucks to get a set and tries them, this is all speculation.

If the Riva sponsons make it respond better that the stock ones with no top end gain, Im out, these 250's already handle better than any ski I have ever owned, I just want 75 mph and Ill be happy.
