    water leak from sponsons

    so I stared getting some water in my 2005 rxp I backed into the water and took the seat and upper cover off and look in and I can see water coming in from sponson bolts any body know the best stuff to seal these with?

    Remove the sponsons by unscrewing the torx screws. Once removed notice the brass inserts in the hull and remove old silicone. Tighten the insert nuts inside hull. Notice the shape and position of inserts and where it fits into the sponsons. Place silicone, ie: The Right Stuff, around each of the inserts. Run a bead of silicone around the sponson then reinstall.

    Use 5200, it happens to those crappy Yamahas too
