But i was just going to post about the Day of our lives episode I just watched..

I did want to ask a technical question, what is the difference between this and the Lucky13 Cone? Does either have any functionality/feature that makes one better over the other? I think I saw something mentioned about the 13 cone having a cant of a few degrees and this not? I'm still rather new to all this as the last Ski I owned before my current one was in the 90's

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you on this. Attached are some side by side pics. The R&D cone is definitely not a copy of the Lucky 13 cone.
The L13 has a longer cone which has a gradual taper design that follows the contour of the nozzle slope
L13 cone is angled to more closely match the angle of the venturi nozzle
L13 comes with three spacers, 5, 4 and 3mm and are color coded as to thickness. Additional spacers are available for purchase separately.
L13 has more depth to hold more grease
L13 cone bolt is recessed into cone (shrouded)
L13 cone utilizes stock bolts. R&D cone comes supplied with bolts.

R&D hub seems to be slightly thicker and looks more like a 5degree ?

The R&D cone is straight. It's not angled at all.

Are there any benefits to the R&D Cone over the L13, at all? (a few ounces weight savings doesn't count)
