man those are expensive. It seems like everything for this ski is expensive. I wonder how much true benefit you will get for your money on these bad boys?

Welcome to the wonderful world of aftermarket parts for skis. Everything is expensive.
These aren't exactly cheap to build though
"Our sponsons deliver a significant improvement over the stock sponsons through superior blade and backing plate design. Sponson blades are secured to the backing plates via our bulletproof mounting system. Rather than use fender washers that can bend or break we provide billet inserts that are pressed into sponson fins. The backing plate is precision machined from billet aluminum to be as light as possible while maintaining strength and then anodized to prevent corrosion. Sponson depth is adjustable to control the amount of influence they have on the craft. Easy installation requires no drilling."

What kind of significant improvement do they deliver?

I'm curious if you raise them can you increase boat speed and sacrifice some handling while just ringing her out??

I see they went with the same crappy blade design used on the GPR.
Consider modding your new sponson before the blades get broken.
As soon as you get a set, put a M5 hole in the front of the sponson, and drill/tap the backing plate to accept a M5 button head screw. This will keep the cheesy-ass plastic blade from ballooning outward after use.

Wonder where they came up with the idea for hollowing them out...
