    Sea-Doo SAR Anti-Debris Intake Grate

    Hi everyone.

There is an area I've been riding in recently that has some beautiful, but shallow spots.

I idle across them - a depth of 2-3 feet.

Anyone know if the SAR Anti-Debris intake grate is available for a non SAR Sea-Doo? Or if there is something similar available for shallow waters for a GTI 155 2011? I am not concerned about top end speed.

    SAR Anti-Debris kit at 0:35

Do You ride over 2 foot shallow spots?
    Appreciate your thoughts and comments.

As of right now, the SAR is not something any dealer will order or have in their inventory. The local authorities will contact BRP and order it. BRP will send one to the local dealership for prep and build and that is all.... Also, there are no listed parts on BRP's site for the SAR.

Thanks for the note Tiny - too bad. Would be neat to get an intake grate to help prevent some types of debris in shallow water riding. As for aftermarket - seems they are going the other way - opening up the grate for speed of course, rather then 'screening it'.

If you know for a fact that the water is 3ft deep all the way across you'll do far better run over it at 35mph planed off.

The guys who run jet boats in very shallow rivers have been using narrow opening intake grates for years. Those guys will run right through zero depth water to get over gravel bars and such.

Your machine will float in less than two feet of water depth, maybe as little as one foot without touching the bottom.

When solidly on plane at speed the hull lifts up. I have ridden on plane in water depths of less water than is required to float the hull. This video was shot from a 2 seater Polaris Pro, my three seater was already sitting on the bottom as he circled around and came off plane nearby. You can see the sudden stop when the hull comes off plane and contacts the bottom (medium soft silt/sand).
