R&D Ride plate FZS Shimming?
I installed one the other day and felt like the ski is a little faster and tracks better. My question is are you guys shimming these at all? I bolted it right to the hull with no shims and just some silicone sealant for an initial try. I noticed that my R&D intake grate hangs a good 2mm below the ride plate. Is it worth shimming the ride plate even with the intake grate? Has anyone used the stock shims on the stock ride plate and transferred them to the aftermarket ride plate?
