Sea Doo XP DI - Fuel Sending Unit
The fuel gauge doesn't work. Is the sticky fix the same for this model?

Remove entire sending unit from tank, not sure how difficult that is with your particular ski, I think on the XP removing the seat will reveal a round removable cover by which you can get to the tank. The 2002 is that way. If the float is bad but everything else okay then when you manually lift the float and arm the fuel gauge will read full, and empty when you let it down, its just not floating anymore so the fuel level can't move it. The gauge won't react right away, so hold it a minute or two, the are designed to react slowly so they aren't always changing every time a wave goes by. I'm not familiar with any other parts of the DI fuel sender so I can't say what to do if that doesn't work for you.

I'm guessing the float is just stuck because I rode one of them today and the gauge just reads full even though the tank isn't full.
