Video of a typical Test Ride

Here is a quick video of me doing a typical test ride to get data on the data loggers. In this log, I was running the Motec on an essentially stock 2012 RXPX.

Here is same ski running VTech 30 min later.

They perform essentually identical. From the drivers seat, you would never guess what system you are riding once the boat is running.

I just thought people may find it interesting as to how hard we run the skis when we are looking for holes in the fueling maps.

Andy is testing out a new way to torque limit the engine via motec ecu when the pump comes unhooked from the water. So he is trying to make the Motec tune exactly the same as his Vtech ecu. So he can swap ecu's back and forth to see if this helps out in rough water. If this works it will be a big help for the rough water racers.

They are both good systems. It just depends what you are trying to accomplish.

Could you do that by monitoring pump Tunnel pressure? If pressure drops below expected levels at a certain RPM start a fuel cut sequence to decelerate the engine until pressure returns?
