    Painting bottom of ski

We'll I found a nice size dent in the front of my ski under a sticker, I have done all the work to repair it. Now I need to prime and paint it. I do auto body work everyday, but never have done anything on a jet ski. So I'm wondering what type of primer should I use, right now it is just 80 grit fiberglass filler. Is there a special finish putty ? Also does the under side of the ski have to be gel coated? If so how do I go about this? Thanks

Bondoglass works but need a few skim coats for air pockets, kittyhair is better, only use Tamco duriflint 2 on the bottom if you plan to paint, been using it for along time and tough as nails single stage shoot and your done turns to glass with nothing more to do, you can find it on Ebay. just sand and be sure to wipe down with Acetone for dust befor you shoot.

Ok, and one other thing. Does the inside of the hull where it was repaired need and kind or sealer over it or will it be fine if I leave it bare?

These are SMC hulls. I hope you used epoxy resin for the repair.

There are gelcoat repair kits that are supposed to be used for the repair. I have used them on some pretty good size damage on my boat and everything looks great.

These hulls are painted SMC not gel coat. The 94 and 95 SLT 750, the 96 SLT 700, the Pro 785s and 1200s and MSX hulls were glass I believe. The rest were SMC.
