NJ Residents - Do your skis have a title or transferrable registration?

I'm looking into buying a ski that is registered in NJ. Do NJ PWCs have a title or transferrable registration?

it's an Original Owners title that can be used to transfer of sale BUT it's not necessary or a Bill of sale notorizaried by seller ,buyers sig not needed to be notorizaried and copy of registration of PWC needed ,not sure with original owners title if you need the ski registration since you may have not registered for use...DMV examiner might ask for proof of drivers lic also

Just registered two skis. A written bill of sale with the make, model, HID#, seller name and address, buyer name and address, and amount sold for. Must be notarized.

Both registered no problem in NJ.

Your saying as the buyer you were able to register the skis Without the Registrations?...just hand written info HID,make, model etc...?

If true that DMV examiner was asleep...

I had the previous reg for one of the skis, the other had the wrong HID number on it but the name of the previous owner matched the notarized bill of sale. The women at the counter said it was preferred to have the previous reg but not necessary. I assume this is dependent on whom you deal with at DMV. Sounds like a loose rule.

In the state of NJ watercraft 12' or less don't need a title to register. I had my doubts also:
