PLEASE HELP...Polaris is ready to be fixed..
I own a 95 Polaris 780. Our gauge constantly stays on (so we
disconect the battery when it is not in use), and the gauge seems to always report the gas level as full (even when it is completely empty), but reports the oil level at what seems to be accurate. When my husband pulled out the fuel sender/pickup and tested the float in gas it sunk, making us believe it would just be the float. However, when my husband pulled the fuel sender/pickup out of the seadoo he bent one of the screws that hold on the cap (so now the cap is permanately off). We have to somehow find a new fuel sender/pickup, but does anyone know what else we should replace before putting it back together? (Gauge???) Also, when you purchase a fuel sender/pickup does a new float come in there??? Do we have to rewire something to get the gauge to turn off?? And does anyone know where to begin searching for a Fuel sender/pickup?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time

WELCOME to the Green Hulk Forums!!!
I'm a little confused as to what happened to the sender unit BUT
you can check e-bay listings for the gauge.
Get a used one from zigler
Or a new one from Atlantic Powersports
All their names and numbers are under general and are stickied under vendors.
