76mph on the limiter. what to change?

Well I went out today on fairly calm water and was able to keep the ski planted in the water for a high speed pass. I saw a max gps mph of 76 but was on the 8300rpm limiter with about 1/4-1/8th throttle left...water Temps 84 air temp 85. I was thinking repitching the prop but I've never done it before so more then likely be a ton of trial and error... is there any other options to pick up mph and reduce rpm without changing the prop?

Mods are 4" intake, x blower, IC, 15/22 Solas, 42# injectors, vtech tune, Riva grate...

a smaller nozzle or a longer cone, like lucky 13 will also lower rpms and maybe pick up some speed

The full summer heat isn't here yet. That alone will reduce rpm!

Ya that's what I'm counting on. But with about 1/4 throttle left I'm sure I'll still be on the limiter.

As SkidooChris said, the Riva adjustable nozzle or the Lucky 13 tail cone can be added, but in 90*+ temps and high humidity air your ski will drop rpm by a 100+.

Ya humidity slowed me down a touch last year before the tune and IC. Another couple weeks and we should be in mid 90s. Water Temps get pretty high to.

The nozzles would help, but I would pull the prop and check the trailing edges first. Make sure they are all the same...

You still need one of those items for the cooler months or get a second pump with properly pitched impeller. There are several different ways to skin the cat.

I've been reading up on prop pitching. I might give that a shot if I'm still on the limiter in a month..
