    Thumbs down 2013 300x problem

    So how are you guys,,

    am a seadoo guy for 5 years,, last year I changed to a new 2013 300x and installed all modes with r3 tune from r&d I was running 75-76 with mid tank, I have 35 hours on my ski so as normal every 10 hours i send my ski for service on 37 hours i noticed oil on the engine so I checked from where it comes, so I finger out it comes from the breather !! Bad signs and checked the oil in the engine there where no oil in the motor !! I send it to the shop the told me that I need to change pistons,, so I need some help from i order the parts and how much it will cost ?

    I would double check their assessment. Were you running the ski wot for long periods of time since you last checked your oil? The oil in the intake is the blow by from the catch can not necessarily the rings. I would check quite a few more things before letting them tear my engine apart.

    now since you were running the tune if you were not running the proper fuel this could have melted a piston.

    Thanks for the advice. I will double check if there is another problem.

    So guys

    last update the piston is good the pressure is good, will fill it oil and test it again, but we opened the inter cooler we found oil there, any suggestion from what or did someone had the same problem ?

    That was what I figured. I think you need to be a little more careful checking your oil. What is probably happening is a common thing. You are over filling because if the way the dipstick seal pushes the oil out of the tube giving a false reading. Need to check the oil slowly and carefully with the ski level.

    Seriously, I would! How can he tells you piston or ring are dead without doing the basic diagnostic!
