    Advent Settings

I'm running a Stage 2 boat right now (will be adding VF3 as soon as they arrive).

I just got my Advent in and from what I have read people are saying to run Yam 84 and Snap 60. This sound good?

Now, which curve is considered the Yam 84? Is it the enhanced stock or the Riva single? I have the D60 curve set.

Here is a picture of my Advent set to what I WANT to be....

    Curve 84
    Snap 60
    RPM's at 7500

    Does that look correct?

Those are the correct settings for 84 curve, 7500 rpm, snap 60, water and cat sensor off.

    Great! Thanks guys.

I'll let yall know how Jim's FF plate and the Advent perform on my ski this weekend. Next week I should get my VF3's in also.

Im shooting for 73'ish on my unported 1200.

I would be careful running the Yam-84 curve for recreational use. The timing is very advanced in the 4500-5000 rpm range and could cause detonation if you cruise in that range depending on your set-up. The plus side is it will accelerate like

VOODOO, what mods do you think one would need to safely run yam 84?

Also, do you think I need to add any extra fuel via t-handles?

    Thanks for your help.

I don't know what your mods are but if you are running stock carbs I would seriously disable the accelerator pumps and re-jet. The stock jetting makes the engine run very lean in the mid-range. I would also suggest a free flow exhaust. It would help if you listed your current mods.

VOODOO, I think I should be okay.

    My mods are....

    Pro-tec rec head
    free flow exhaust
pro-tec reed stuffers (VF3 when they arrive)
    Tau-ceti flame arrestors
Island racing carb mod -- rejet, accel pump removed, etc etc
    jet works

i think thats about it for engine mods. of course i have all the pump and handling goodies to go along.

it seems that with the re-jet and free flow i should be in the clear, what is your opinion?

XLTKeith and I were discussing the curves and it appears curve 59 from the D70 set is a popular choice, however when compared to the 84 curve it seems 59 may be more aggressive from 0-4250 RPM by a couple degrees.

    thoughts??
