    First ride w/ mods, speed?

Hey today was the first ride with a 4inch air, riva waterbox, opas blockoffs, riva grate, ride plate holes filled and bucket trimmed. 60 degree water,72 degree air, 64.3 mph gps, 7960 rpm. Felt more punchy around the mid range than stock. 64 mph though? Any ideas? This is on a 07 gtx limited sc. Freshly rebuild charger from jerry also.

Should you be around 8150 rpm?

What was your speed before the mods? the only thing on the list that will make a real noticeable difference in speed and acceleration will be the intake. The ride plate holes and opas will be good for small gains, however that may have been offset by the rideplate which will mostly improve hook up.

8140-8160 is desired rpm for stock ECU for sure. You are way down on speed and down 200 rpm.

What impeller is installed and what pitch?

    Wear ring condition?

This ski would benefit significantly with an external intercooler vice the one inside the intake manifold!

Your stock dream-o-meter should be pegged at 70 mph once dialed in.

to drop 4.4 mph from your stock setup, there is more to the "mods" than you "think" you did as the mods listed should put your ski at a +1 gain or so. Look for something very wrong-- maybe your opas is not going to the up position-- hose blown out or not connected maybe? Going against the current instead of with the current?

You still should not lose any speed unless the stock prop was damaged somehow. The prop won't be holding you back until you are seeing about 8200 rpms. Then you should re pitch to bring them down a little. Since you saw a gain in rpms and a loss in speed my guess is this is a hull/ ride plate / grate issue. Make sure the grate is flush and properly installed . Maybe try swapping back to the stock grate to see where your at and isolate or eliminate that as a potential issue.
