    Blown water coolant hose...787 rfi

So, I blew the coolant hose that goes from the head to the exhaust pipe while running WOT. The auto balers were pulling the water out of the compartment, and I was unaware it had happened untill I stopped in the middle of the lake to wait for my wife and put the ski in neutral, at which time I noticed I was sinking because of the water being pumped in the hull. The little coolant hose that goes from the top of the exhaust pipe melted right off as well. The paint on the exhaust pipe is burnt and flaked right off. I fixed the coolant hose and reattached the small hose back that melted. It seemed to run fine, no loss in power or speed. I checked the compression and its still 145 and 146. Is there anything that you think I should check? If not I am thinking this winter to just pull the pipe and paint it with high heat silver. Thanks guys for all the help!

Inspect your water regulating valve on the waterbox. It probably has a bad bellows, or plugged orifice.

Just swing down the metal keeper and pull the cap off.

I just diagnosed the overheated exhaust system on my RFI last summer. I didn't find anything after disassembling the water regulator valve (located on the water box) but it happened again so I replaced the entire regulator and it hasn't overheated since.
