    2 UP in Choppy Ocean....

Hi Guys, haven,t had a chance to get to the sea yet on my Spark 90 2up, I have just been riding on lakes.

I was wondering how they handle in choppy seas, say 12" swell...is it a case of hold on tight and hope for the best or can you actually ride it without feeling you are going to be ejected at any moment.

Went yesterday from Warwick to Block Island on two 2ups. Around 100 mile round trip, the inland was choppy as hell and the ocean had some big rollers. More importantly Block Island had Waves that were like giant dirt bike ramps Spark handled everything fine, we averaged 25mph when it was really choppy, coming home it was a lot calmer and went 40-50 the entire way. My buddy is around 240 pounds and I'm 180. Neither of us had any issues.

Hi Folks, the reason I am asking is the P1 AquaX team are thinking of running a series of Spark enduro races over here. The enduros last 30mins each and will run in any swell within reason.

Do you think 30 minutes trying to go flat out in any type of swell is possible on a Spark? Has anybody tried it ?

The AquaX events are held here in the UK and in the USA, there are 7 rounds in each country. I will only be entering the ones over here.

Each event has 3 x thirty minute races.

I have tried 30 minutes flat out on lakes and its pretty hard going.....

I usually can't run full open in a chop on salt water. Doesn't mean there are those willing to tale much more punishment than I am.

12" and 'swell' don't belong in the same sentence

    You'll have no problems.
