New Wear Ring Doesn't Fit Pump

Just looking at my stock wear ring and it has a lot of wear after only 5.3 hours run time. The lower two/thirds of the ring is evenly worn by rotation of the prop to a depth of about 25-28 thou and the top portion (10 to 2) of the ring is worn in about 5-8 thou. Is this what others are seeing???
I also tried to put a new wear ring in and found that it doesn't want to fit into the pump like the original which slid in and out no prob. The new one when compared side to side with the old one is actually physically bigger in diameter and will not seat at all in the pump !!!
It's the right part number , made in Mexico ! Suggestions ???

    Wow, that's not good.

Put the wear ring in the freezer overnight, it'll shrink and fit in perfectly in the morning.

I tried that, not overnight but for a few hours, no luck.
As I said before the old one just slips in to place but the new one sucks !!!
I'm just wondering if BRP got a bad batch of OEM wear rings !!!

I am having the same problem with wear on the wear ring even on my stainless. The transom might be flexing. You are the first one that I have heard of who wear ring doesn't fit. I would return it for another. I would like to know what is causing the problem with the impeller flexing into the wear ring and what we can do to fix it. I am going to check that all my bolts are tight on the ride plate and transom

The motor mount look good as far as the rubber no cracks or excessive play. I can't tell if the are adjustable?

    OEM Wear Ring Issue

Here are some pictures (not great) that show the difference between the wear ring that came stock on my Spark and the OEM replacement I purchased from BRP.
First picture is of the one that came with my Spark. Notice the thickness of the ring wall that seats in the pump. The second picture is the OEM replacement from BRP. Notice the extra edge and overall thickness of the same area. Picture three shows that when placed side to side the OEM replacement is much bigger and will not seat in the pump !!!
It should also be noted that the stock prop and the brand new Solas prop I got will not fit inside the new OEM wear ring properly and both bind up inside it !!! WTF !!!

Have you contacted BRP to see if they will send you a replacement? I imagine something about this wear ring wasn't machined correctly (something was probably out of spec) and it slipped past QC. I wouldn't keep trying to make it fit if it doesn't fit.
