Take a look at your fuel sender. It should be the newer tube style and not the ball and arm style. Also check to see if it is wired. It should be. If this is the case, the float in the kit will not work for you, but the gauge and LR module should get you up and running. You will have to do some custom wiring work as the LR has bullet style connectors while you will need spade connectors.

If you pick it up, I might be interested in buying the ball and arm float from you for shelf stock.....

My ski never had a fuel gauge. It doesn't have any type of gauges. I have the place in the tank to put a sending unit, it just has a metal plate blocking it off.

Interesting. The parts diagram for the 95 SL650 STD shows the regular tube type fuel sender... So you must have a screw on plastic or blue aluminum cap where the fuel lines attach?

Yeah its got the screw on blue aluminum cap with fuel lines attached. it has another spot on the tank that has five screws in a hexagon shape and a metal plate covering the hole.

That is the older style tank then. The setup you referenced should work fine.....

Ok, I thought it would. I may end up holding off cause it seems like I'm having impeller issues, gotta get it riding good before I worry about a fuel gauge. thanks for the help

Are you still interested in the ball and arm float? If so I have one available.
