    2008 RXT-X 255 - Any known issues?

I am going to check one out tomorrow and I'm bringing cash with me. Anything specific to look out for on this model?

The pump tunnel cracks on that one, I think...

Yeah, Bring a good flashlight with you. Make sure to get under the ski and look up into the tunnel. Check inside the ski under the VTS trim motor for repair and down sides.

Check compression, I/C. What are the hours on ski? The SCer should be rebuilt more than likely.

Water test ski. Should pull pass 8K no problem.

Where is the VTS trim motor? I've never owned a Sea Doo this old before... I'll be testing it in the water, looking to hit 8K. I also planned on using it this weekend (if I buy it) and then pulling it on Monday to have it rebuilt. It has 80 hours currently.

Only 2 issues that I know of for the RXT-X255:

    Pump tunnel

    Hood strut mount

The supercharger needs to be rebuilt now, unless it has already been done.

Please tell us that it's just a Seadoo you've not owned before, rather than you've never owned ANY ski before?!??

8k with no previous ski ownership, that is very likely to end quickly and in tears, be warned. Take someone with you that has high speed experience.

To the OP......In stock form this ski will run around 68 +/- mph at 8K rpm. Be careful and ride safely.

Correct I've never owned a Sea Doo this old before. I did have a 2006 RXT that I bought with a 2010 GTX iS 215 but I sold the RXT before riding it. I've ridden a 2008 and 2009 255 before, just never owned one. I've ridden 2014 RXT 260s, Ultra 300Xs, etc. I usually prefer newer skis but can't seem to find any at a decent price this time of year...
