Question Fizzle HE IC water routing

I am about to install Fizzle HE IC to my 07 RXP. I know that some people do not pass the water trough IC to the exhaust but split the water before the IC so if IC gets clogged it won't overheat the exhaust. I need to know how to do that splitting and where the water from IC goes.

    Thanks

if you T the water line before the exhaust
just add a T to the top of the J pipe for the IC to dump out

I dump my ic water overboard through a fitting in the pump tunnel, opas block off plate. I also use a "T" from an X boat that reduces pressure and flow to the cooler. Strainer is also good in water line to cooler.

What size fitting for dumping it overboard and if I split the lake water is it going to cool efficiantl?

I have been using the Fizzle HE IC for 2 years issue free without a dump. Just saying. Some say do it, and some don't.

I am transfering my mods to newer ski. In the old one the IC was inline and never had problems but some are saying that it is better to get it separated. I am confused

Some don't and never have a problem. I personally like to know that if the ic ever clogs I still have water to cool the exhaust.

Do some searching here and you will get some ideas and thoughts on different routing setups. I got mine from another member that posted about his setup.

    I have two concerns:

    1. If the incoming lake water is splited is it going to have enough flow for both IC and waterbox
    2. What should be the size of the trough hull fitting for dumping the IC water

or leave it inline and ride it like i stole it

a stock ski would have no problems running only one line
once modified the pump water psi may be to high for the intercooler
too much water psi can destroy a intercooler
so if you cut some water going through the IC you are less likely to do damage to the IC
the HE intercooler is a nice piece it would be a shame to split it from too much water psi
