Can I remove the intake gate to see if I need a new one

I was wondering if I could remove the intake gate to see if it holding my rpm back. And if so I could by a new one. My intake gate is really bang up. So I'm getting 7680 now on a rxp-x 255 but when she was taking of and went air born she went to 8140 rpm

You probably gained rpms in the air because you left the water and there wasn't a load on the engine.

Supercharger was just rebuilt and a new ic. And the engine is a new one from seadoo. Might have 30 hour on it. I'm thinking intake manifold filter if its still there

I think so to. But I had her air born before all the new stuff and did not see the rpm that high. Only from 7200 to 7560. Now with supercharger rebuild and new intercooler I'm seeing 7680. In the water

put a boost gauge on and check how much boost you have, check and re check intercooler piping and clamps. check for exhaust leaks as well.
