evansville indiana to louisville ky Help

My wife and i want to plan a trip from evansville to louisville. The ski we are getting will have a safe to assume range of 75 miles until low fuel light. Will that be enough range to span from gas station to gas station?

Also does anyone know by the river about how many miles it is from the two points?

Any help or just a link would be great.

Although I'm not familiar w/ the area, I will try to help you out. If you check the link in my sig, you'll see that it's something that I enjoy doing. But it will be next week before I can work on it.

Thanks - it's a perpetual project that will never be finished. Perhaps you'll be my intro trail for IN or KY. I'll be busy until Monday evening but I should be able to get started on your trail by then.

I do not have a ski yet. My wife and i are still looking around at the different kinds. We have only been to a kawasaki dealer. It happens to be that i like the 310LX the best but will look at all the high end models before i chose. Its a lot of money to make the wrong choice.

Well, you got your work cut out for you: Every make/model has it's high and low points. Price, accessories, maintenance, hull material, type of ride... yeah the list goes on. Two pieces of advice. 1 - If possible, ride before you buy. 2 - Unless you're a wrencher, you may want to consider how far the dealership/mechanic is from home and reviews of the shop/service dept. Good luck.

Also, once you're in L'ville - will you be spending the night or is this a day-trip? I'm working on your route...

Well we are thinking both. we would like to take some jet ski camping trips as well as single day trips.

So i guess that doesnt help you any! I would guess most of the trips will be single day trips.

83Gator is that 185 miles one way? I know of the lock at newburgh. What other locks did you find on the way?

A side question- How do locks work? Do you just ride up to it and they let you go through? Or do they only open at a set time?
